Plants on the Move

Creating and maintaining beautiful gardens.

A family business since 1989

Our Specialties

We are passionate about creating and maintaining beautiful and sutainable gardens.

This includes the rejuvination of unhealthy or unattractive gardens to their full potential.

Landscape

With the ever-increasing density of housing, urban outdoor living spaces are becoming more confined. Courtyard gardens dominated by usable space are often a priority.

Indoor Features

Indoor plants can offer a living dimension to the furnishing of any space. But an interior feature comprised of closely spaced plants mounted on a wall or free standing stucture offers exciting possibilities.

Vertical Gardens

Vertical Gardens can be used to create real opportunities to add mystery to the space beyond. Ferns are an ideal specimen for this purpose, depending on aspect.

Wall Gardens

Large expanses of masonry and brick walls are often bland or unsightly. But their very strength provides real opportunities to create themed Vertical Gardens offering beautiful texture and colour to the expanse.

Features and Decoration

The decoration of a garden spaces with ornamentation, sculptures, attractive pots and planters, or hanging arrangements,  add richness to the garden environment. Likewise, a strong feature such as Wall Garden or fountain can transform the experience in the garden.

Balcony Decoration

The image below shows the natural beauty of a hanging garden, mounted on the balustrade of a balcony. An striking feature that softens the mass of upper level brickwork.

Courtyard Features

Using Vertical Gardens it is possible to incorporate striking external features with minimal use of ground space. Use of succulents is a good option where maintenance is a high priority.

Colour

Sadly we don’t often see professionally designed gardens and landscapes with mixed and vibrant colours, rather relying on repition of interesting textures to create a “look”. But sure it is that colour in a garden is good for the soul.

Hardscaping

Hardscaping includes paths, walls and fencing, patios, decking, steps and stairs in the landscape. The use of natural materials such as wood and stone is especially pleasing to the eye.

Indoor Plants

Even small plants can add colour, living texture, and complexity to the furnishing of a space. They are strong focal points of interest disproportionate to their physical presence. And interesting containers are abundant and inexpensive.
